Born from a military heritage and developed with input from the French Marine Nationale, the Tudor Submariner Snowflake represents the era when the brand forged its own distinct design language. Produced from the late 1970s into the mid-1980s, this purpose-built diver traded traditional hands and round indices for highly legible snowflake hands and square indices, a functional choice that became Tudor's defining aesthetic signature. This particular example comes with a rare blue dial that has developed a desirable creamy patina over time. Housed within the proven waterproof Oyster architecture, it relies on a robust automatic movement that delivers the reliability expected of a professional tool watch. The Snowflake remains a cornerstone of vintage dive watch collecting, offering a compelling blend of utilitarian purpose and historical significance. Hands have been relumed.
