Introducing a rare first series Corum Golden Bridge, ref 1315056, launched in 1980, is exceptionally rare and highly coveted among collectors today. Born from the vision of master watchmaker Vincent Calabrese, it introduced a groundbreaking in-line baguette movement that stripped watchmaking down to its purest, most architectural form. After winning a gold medal at the Geneva Inventors’ Show in 1977, Calabrese’s radical concept caught the attention of Corum founder René Bannwart, who acquired the patent and worked with him to bring the watch to life. Encased in transparent sapphire, the floating, hand-engraved movement was unlike anything seen before—produced in very limited numbers and representing a milestone in horological design.
